Sangyoon Han was awarded his Ph.D., and Hoseok Jung was awarded his master’s degree. Sangyoon Han presented a Ph.D. thesis about generating motion effects for moving objects in 4D content. He is going to continue his career as a researcher at Samsung Electronics. Hoseok Jung presented a master’s thesis about encounter-type thermal haptic device using multiple rotating pre-heated peltier actuators and continue his career as a researcher at Stanford Center Korea. Hojun Cha was awarded his Ph.D. and Daehyeon Nam was awarded the master’s degrees. ojun Cha presented a Ph.D. thesis about haptic modeling and rendering of viscoelastic behavior using fractional derivatives. He is going to continue his career as a researcher at Samsung Electronics. Daehyeon Nam presented a Ph.D. thesis about science museum exhibit upcycling using digital augmentation and continue his career as a researcher at Cupix. Minjae Mun presented a master’s thesis about multimodal audio-to-haptic conversion system and is going to continue his career as a researcher in the industry. Four new members entered the interaction lab in the spring semester of 2021. Jungeun Lee (left-top) entered the lab as a Ph.D student. Her master’s thesis was about the prediction model of electric muscle stimulation. Jeongwoo Kim (right-top) started his degree with an integrated master’s and Ph.D program. He studied vibrotactile feedback for weight perception in our lab as an undergraduate student. Jaejun Park (left-bottom) and Daehyun Nam (right-bottom) entered the lab with a master’s program. Jaejun Park studied thermal haptic feedback and electrovibration in our lab as an undergraduate student.

Hyoseung Lee presented a master’s thesis about motion effect synthesis based on human walking motion and is going to continue his career as a researcher in the industry.
