Hojun Cha was awarded his Ph.D. and Daehyeon Nam was awarded the master’s degrees. ojun Cha presented a Ph.D. thesis about haptic modeling and rendering of viscoelastic behavior using fractional derivatives. He is going to continue his career as a researcher at Samsung Electronics. Daehyeon Nam presented a Ph.D. thesis about science museum exhibit upcycling using digital augmentation and continue his career as a researcher at Cupix. Praise for the bright future of our graduates!

Beomsu Lim awarded master’s degrees in August 2021 and Minjae Mun awarded master’s degrees in February 2022. Beomsu Lim presented a master’s thesis about image-based texture styling for motion effect rendering and continue his career as a researcher in KOG. Minjae Mun presented a master’s thesis about multimodal audio-to-haptic conversion system and is going to continue his career as a researcher in the industry. Praise for the bright future of our graduates!

Four new members entered the interaction lab in the spring semester of 2021. Jungeun Lee (left-top) entered the lab as a Ph.D student. Her master’s thesis was about the prediction model of electric muscle stimulation. Jeongwoo Kim (right-top) started his degree with an integrated master’s and Ph.D program. He studied vibrotactile feedback for weight perception in our lab as an undergraduate student. Jaejun Park (left-bottom) and Daehyun Nam (right-bottom) entered the lab with a master’s program. Jaejun Park studied thermal haptic feedback and electrovibration in our lab as an undergraduate student.
Today, Hyoseung Lee and Jiwan Lee were awarded master’s degrees. Hyoseung Lee presented a master’s thesis about motion effect synthesis based on human walking motion and is going to continue his career as a researcher in the industry. Jiwan Lee presented a master’s thesis about perception of motion effects in 4D experiences and is going to do further research as Ph.D in our lab. Praise for the bright future of our graduates!
Sunghwan Shin graduated and achieved a doctorate degree. He will be working at Samsung Research, and his thesis can be found on our web. Also, a new member, Gihong Kim, joined our lab.
Hojin Lee will be working as a post-doctoral fellow at Max Planck Institute in Germany since July.
Today, two freshmen came to our lab and four students graduated. New members are Beomsu Lim and Jungyeong Choi. Hojin Lee and Yongjae Yoo graduated and achieved a doctorate degree. Together with them, two students, Sunung Mun and Hyejin Choi, graduated with a master’s degree.
