Six papers were accepted to major conferences. One paper was accepted to CHI 2019 and five papers were accepted to World Haptics 2019. Among them, two papers were nominated for the best paper. You can download these papers in the international publications tab in this site.
Our lab attended the KHCI 2019 conference from February 13th to 15th. The conference was held in Jeju island and we also went to the membership training here.
Our lab held a homecoming party and many alumni gathered to meet each other.
Today, two freshmen came to our lab and four students graduated. New members are Beomsu Lim and Jungyeong Choi. Hojin Lee and Yongjae Yoo graduated and achieved a doctorate degree. Together with them, two students, Sunung Mun and Hyejin Choi, graduated with a master’s degree.
Our lab will receive 1.6 billion KRW of support from Samsung Future Technology Development Center for four years. We have decided to carry out research on ‘Automatic Authoring of Physical and Perceptual/Affective Motion Effects for Virtual Reality’.
Our lab held a summer workshop in Yeongcheon, Korea, from Aug 11 to Aug 12.
A new Ph.D student, Jiwan Lee, joined our lab. Jongman Seo and Jongho Lim graduated and received a Master’s degree.
Our lab held a workshop for HD haptic technology. Laboratories form 5 universities participated in the workshop.
We have three Ph.D freshmen and one new post-doctoral researcher. Amit Bhardwaj joined our lab as a post-doctoral researcher. Gyeore Yun, HyoSeung Lee, and Chaeyong Park joined as Ph.D students. And Inseok Koh graduated and joined as a researcher.
